Jeff Lungu, the goalie for Prison Leopards, is looking forward at representing his Kabwe based Club in the ABSA Cup.
Lungu, who switched teams from Zesco Shockers to Prison Leopards in 2020, has participated in 48 of the team’s 49 games and had 21 clean sheets.
He is an officer in the Zambia Correctional Service and signed a long-term contract with the Correct Boys. Lungu has only appeared in three league games and kept one clean sheet in the 2024–25 campaign.
Lungu told Bolanews exclusively that his set target is to play in the ABSA Cup and win himself a medal.
“My target for this season first is to win promotion back to the Super League. Playing in the ABSA Cup also and being the best Goalkeeper of the season,” he said.
Lungu hopes the team bounces back to the Elite League.
“It’s a bumpy ride you have to tighten up your seat belt like every team wants to beat us because we are a team from the Super Division. Every game is a final for the team,” concluded Lungu.
Prison Leopards lost 0-1 away to Mpulungu Harbour on Saturday in their Week Six fixture in the National Division One League.
The Correct boys have only managed to win two matches, drawn twice and lost twice so far in the league.
