Despite being under pressure, Power Dynamos coach Oswald Mutapa has put up a brave face following the 2-1 defeat to Green Buffaloes.

Mutapa’s job may be on the line as a run of one win, four draws and one defeat does not sit well for a club that is tipping itself as a title contender.

Today, they were eying  to record a win at home against former coach Masautso Tembo but the soldiers has other plans.

Buffaloes pinned a strategy that saw Power make mistakes at the back with former Nkwazi player Pride Mwansa putting the ball on the back of his net to gift the visitors the lead in the 24th minute.

Six minutes later, it was another former Nkwazi player, Erick Chomba on the score sheet, this time putting the ball in the right net to double the lead.

“Power was unlucky”- Masautso Tembo.

Power had smelled some come back when Dominic Chanda scored four minutes after the hour mark but Buffaloes held their own at the back.

“Disappointing result,” Mutapa said, “I feel we were the better side the whole 90 minutes. We created a lot of chances equally in the first and second half.”

He was delighted with his player.

“I think after they got the lead even when we were down 2-0 at half time we came back strong. We showed that we can actually play football. Painful defeat, we would have loved to win those after coming from four consecutive draws,” he said.

Tembo described the win as a good result.

“I am very happy with my players. It is not easy coming to Arthur Davies, good results, three points, it is always nice beating a big team, good team“

Tembo (centre).

“I think Power were a bit unlucky, they created chances, they hit the post but our plan is we decided to sit because we watched Power,” Tembo said.
