Germany faces elimination from Qatar World Cup as they clash with Spain

After losing 1-2 to Japan in their opening match, Germany desperately need to beat Spain to keep their hopes of advancing to the round of 16 alive.

There is no doubt that La Roja’s 7-0 humiliation of Costa Rica in their opening match was an enormous statement and an illustration of their title credentials, perhaps Luis Enrique’s men have what it takes to go all the way but they face a tough test against a Germany side that lost 2-1 to Japan in their opening game, it is for this reason that this game has all the necessary ingredients to be a mouth-watering encounter:

The four-time World champions find themselves in familiar waters after their group stage elimination in the previous edition in Russia, a tournament in which they arrived as defending champions.

An elated Spain will look to pour more misery on a wounded Germany side that looks off colour but not all hope is lost as a victory would put coach Hansi Flick’s men back on track.

The last five matches between the two giants have seen Spain win on two occasions while Germany have only won one as the one game ended in a stalemate.

Germany are still regarded as a formidable side but their lack of cohesion at the back has seen them concede in all their last 8 games, a terrible record to hold going into a game against a Spanish team that loves to score.

Perhaps Germany could have an edge over their opponents due to experience but Spain, on the other hand, are in a rich vein of form, they are a youth squad made up of young players eager to write their own history, for Germany’s defeat could spell the end of their golden generation.

PREDICTION, BETTING TIP, AND ODDS

This will be a tough match for two sides who both have a good record at the World Cup but going by recent form, the Spanish look more hungry for success than Germany. The game is most likely going to produce goals. TRY GG @1.70 FOR BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE AT LEAST A GOAL.
