Tottenham Hotspurs Fan Faces Arrest

Tottenham Hotspur are being investigated by both the police and the English Football Association after one of their fans was seen kicking Arsenal goalkeeper, Aaron Ramsdale, during the Gunners' 0-2 win in the North London derby on Sunday.

However, Arsenal’s victory was marred by unpleasant scenes after the final whistle, when a Spurs fan climbed over multiple rows of seats and made his way to the pitch, where he kicked Ramsdale in the back before fleeing.

Ramsdale, who made several crucial saves during the game, had to be dragged away from the chaos that ensued which first started as a confrontation with Spurs’ Richarlison by his manager Mikel Arteta.

Spurs have since vowed to punish the fan in question severely, including a stadium ban.

“We are appalled by the behaviour of a supporter that attempted to attack Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale at the end of today’s match. Violence in any form has no place in football.” read a statement from the Spurs.

“The club has reviewed its CCTV footage to identify the supporter and will be working with the Met Police, Arsenal, and Aaron Ramsdale to take any possible action, including an immediate ban from Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.”

The result from yesterday puts Mikel Arteta’s side 14 points ahead of Antonio Conte’s Tottenham, cementing their ambitions to win the league title for the first time in 19 years.
