It was a London derby that certainly lived up to its billing, with Arsenal dropping two points in their 2-2 draw against Fulham.

The Gunners went behind when Andreas Pereira scored the opener. Bukayo Saka and Eddie Nketiah spearheaded a comeback, but Joao Palhinha’s late equalizer from a corner saw the Cottagers earn a point.

When the game’s final whistle blew, Arteta had a dissatisfied expression because his impressive performance was unable to earn his team a victory at home.

Speaking after the game, Arteta stated, “It is really difficult to accept that we haven’t won the game. Obviously, we made life really hard for ourselves by giving the goal away in the first minute, but after that, the team had the response that we all expected.”

The Arsenal manager added, “When you have a setpiece, you have to defend the box with your lives, and if you don’t, you give a chance to the opponent, and they have taken that, but otherwise I don’t know what else you have to do to win a game.”

Arteta went on to say, “In any other sport, you would prevail by a wide margin, but football has narrow margins. Today’s game was decided by the boxes, and we are quite dissatisfied.”
