The upcoming AFCON tournament could be a turning point for Patson Daka ahead of the transfer window.

As Patson Daka appears certain to depart Leicester City in the upcoming transfer window, BolaNews offers a sneak peek at his possible destination with two months left before the window opens.

The former Red Bull Salzburg player’s stint with the Foxes appears to be coming to an end with just one appearance as a late substitute in the 2023–2024 Championship season.

AFC Bournemouth

The possibility of completing and joining AFC Bournemouth will be potentially high, as the club is in desperate need of a striker, as they possess the joint worst record in front of goal in the Premier League.

Along with Crystal Palace and relegation-threatened Burnley, Bournemouth has only scored eight goals thus far. Analysts have said that Andoni Iraola should prioritize getting a natural number nine on his wish list to keep Bournemouth from going down. The club almost signed Daka in the last window but the deal fell through on deadline day.

Burnely

Similarly, Burnely, who were rumored to be in the running to sign the Zambian international striker at Turf Moore, withdrew during the summer transfer window.

Burnley, like Bournemouth, has struggled in its opening ten games of the season, managing just one victory. They will be in dire need of a striker.

Everton

Another more plausible English Premier League option for Daka might be Everton. Last summer, Everton also indicated interest in signing Daka. Even though they are performing better than Burnley and Bournemouth, the team still needs a striker of Daka’s caliber.

AC Millan

The Leicester City forward is viewed by AC Milan as a long-term successor for Oliver Giroud; therefore, they may renew transfer negotiations to sign him. In contrast to Burnley and AFC Bournemouth, the Italian powerhouses have been performing admirably in Seria A.

Daka still has a chance to sign a more lucrative contract with one of the top five leagues in Europe, particularly if it means that January will provide him the chance to play for the Chipolopolo in the Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast the following year.
