The 2022 Cosafa Cup defending Champions Zambia take on Malawi in their opening match at the King Zwelithini Stadium in Durban.

Both teams have met on eight occasions in the Cosafa tournament with Zambia having the upper hand, winning four games, while the Flames have won three matches and one game has resulted in a draw.
