Zimbabwe is making a comeback to the COSAFA Cup after a lengthy absence due to an international football ban that was only lifted last year.
Manica Diamonds coach, Jairos Tapera is leading the side on an interim basis with the assistance of Ngezi Platinum Stars coach, Takesure Chiragwi, and Green Fuel coach Saul Chaminuka.
Tapera has selected several Manica Diamonds for the Warriors team that will compete in the 2024 COSAFA Cup in South Africa.
The Warriors are due to depart the nation on Tuesday in advance of their opening Group B match against Comoros on Thursday. The event will run from June 26 to July 7.
With five players in the squad, Manica Diamonds is the most represented club, followed by Ngezi Platinum Stars, who have four players.
Chikuhwa, finally included in the Warriors Squad.
Lynoth Chikuhwa, the league’s best goal scorer and a striker for the Highlanders, was left out of the World Cup Qualifiers squad and is now the lone Highlander player called up to the national side.
Just like Bosso, CAPS United and Dynamos each have one player in the line-up, that is Kingsley Mureremba and Donald Mudadi, respectively.
