Gift Siame fired on all cylinders for Leganes B on Sunday, scoring a brace and recording a hat-trick of assists in a 7-0 thumping of CDB Siello in the Tercera Federacion. The teenager set up two goals for Suleiman El Haddadi early on before effortlessly bamboozling the goalkeeper to get on the scoresheet.

He completed his treble of assists in the 71st minute with a pass to Yuri Menac and then put the icing on the cake with a piledriver from outside the box at 83 minutes. His compatriot, David Hamansenya, started for Leganes U19 in the Spanish youth league.

Meanwhile, Kingstone Mutandwa stole the headlines in Austria with a double for SV Ried to down WAC 2-1. He netted the fastest goal by a substitute in the 2025-26 Austrian Bundesliga, scoring just 27 seconds after coming on. Mutandwa followed up that feat with a 94th minute winner.

Chama, Phiri combine for goal in CAF CC

Andrew Phiri assisted Clatous Chama‘s opening goal in a 1-1 draw vs Flambeau du Centre in the CAF Confederations Cup qualification round two first leg. The ex FC Muza striker played a delightful throughball for his countryman, who gave Singida Black Stars a temporary lead in Burundi.

Elsewhere, Joshua Mutale made Simba SC’s starting XI in their 3-0 thrashing of Nsingizini Hotspur away from home in the CAF Champions League preliminaries.

In Estonia, Benjamin Chisala doubled his goal tally for Nomme United with a goal against Tartu Tammeka U21 in the Esiliga. Fellow Atletico Lusaka FC product Ricky Chanda was among the goals in the 6-0 victory, converting a spotkick.

Fashion outshines Benzema, Banda bags assist in Israel

While Karim Benzema’s performance over the weekend was blemished by a penalty miss, Fashion Sakala Jr put on a clinic against Al Ittihad. He scored a stunning goal to give Al Fayha a lead against the Saudi Arabian champions, who could only salvage a point on the day.

Meanwhile, Emmanuel Banda, who left Saudi Arabia in the summer, bagged his first assist for Maccabi Beine Reyne in the Israeli Premier League, creating Zé Turbo’s goal against Hapoel Hafula.

In the Italian topflight, Lameck Banda made a 16 minute cameo for US Lecce in a scoreless draw vs Sassuolo while Joseph Liteta was an unused substitute in Cagliari Calcio’s 2-0 defeat to Bologna.

Joseph Sabobo Banda made his first appearance for Hapoel Be’er Sheva in Ligat Ha’Al, featuring after the 68th minute in a narrow loss to Kiryat Shmona. His compatriot, Kings Kangwa played the full match.

In Leicester City’s 1-1 stalemate with Portsmouth, Patson Daka was a 59th minute substitute, playing his 10th league game in 2025-26. Elsewhere, Lubambo Musonda notched his first shutout of the season for 1.FC Magdeburg, who drew 0-0 with Darmstadt.

Frankie Musonda‘s torrid start to life in Bahrain continued as his side fell 4-0 to Al Khalidiyah. Meanwhile, in Scotland, Miguel Chaiwa subbed on the 76th minute for Hibernian, who battered Livingston 4-0.

Benson Sakala plays centre-back at club

Mirroring his recent exploits with the Zambian national team, midfielder Benson Sakala started in central defence for Bohemians Praha. In the United States, Aime Mabika played the last ten minutes of Rhode Island 0-0 draw with North Carolina FC.

Songa Chipyoka was a late substitute in Hapoel Petah Tikva’s goalless draw with Hapoel Jerusalem in the Israeli Premier League. In the second tier, Kennedy Musonda started on the bench for Hapoel Ramat Gan.

Stopilla Sunzu played the first 68 minutes of Changchun Yatai’s 2-0 loss to Henan in the Chinese topflight. In Denmark, Edward Chilufya was not in Midtjylland’s matchday squad owing to injury.
