The business end of the 2024-25 season is on the horizon with the battle for top honours taking shape and the apprehension of falling short growing stronger. Several Zambian players plying their trade outside the country have been knocking it out of the park for their clubs this term.

BolaNews unveils a list of the five most outstanding Zambian players of the 2024-25 club season so far.

5. Emmanuel Banda (Al Tai, Saudi Arabia)

Playing just 53 minutes from a possible 900 at Croatian side HNK Rijeka in 2024-25, Emmanuel Banda sought a new adventure, joining Al Tai in the Saudi second-tier. The midfielder has found a new lease of life with the Knights of the North registering three goals and an assist in 16 matches.

4. Clatous Chama (Young Africans, Tanzania)

Although he has been out of form and fitness lately, Clatous Chama’s showing this season has been noteworthy. Since leaving Simba SC for their arch rivals Young Africans SC, he has scored four goals and notched seven assists in 22 outings for the Tanzanian champions.

3. Fashion Sakala (Al Fayha, Saudi Arabia)

While his status with the Zambian national team remains in turmoil, Sakala is highly adored by the Al Fayha faithful. The man can do no wrong.

The Panthers, whom Sakala guided to the AFC Champions League knockouts last season, have been battling relegation this term. And it is the Zambian who has been keeping the sinking ship afloat with six goals and three assists in 17 games.

2. Edward Chilufya (Midtjylland, Denmark)

Chilufya has been impressive for Midtjylland since returning from his loan spell at Swedish side BK Häcken. The 25-year-old has netted a goal in every club competition he has participated in this season, tallying four goals and five assists in 18 official matches.

The forward chalked up a brace against RB Salzburg in a club friendly recently, heroically turning a defeat into victory.

1. Kings Kangwa (Hapoel Be’er Sheva, Israel)

Another player who needed a change of clubs to regain his mojo is Chipolopolo playmaker Kings Kangwa. Since making the switch from Serbia to Israel, he has been unplayable.

In 20 games for Hapoel Be’er Sheva, Kangwa has returned nine goals and five assists, making him one of the best players in Israel.
