Former Chipolopolo physical trainer Jamie Lawrence has praised midfielder Kings Kangwa following his contribution to Hapoel Be’er Sheva’s Israeli Premier League title triumph.
Kangwa was part of the Hapoel Be’er Sheva side that clinched the league title, capping off a successful season for the Zambian international.
Reacting on Instagram, the former Sunderland winger was full of praise for Kangwa’s development and recalled his time working with the Chipolopolo setup, saying he was impressed by the quality and commitment of the players.

In a comment shared under his handle jamielawrence7, Lawrence wrote:
“I went to work with Zambia about 3 years ago, and I never knew what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised at how good the players were and how they bought into how demanding I am. From early I saw @kangwa_17_kings was a talent, then I saw him be the best player on the pitch against the Ivory Coast to qualify us for AFCON twice.
“Super proud to see him win the league and get player of the year. Big up yourself my brother. Note to you all I might have left but captain pain is watching you all and wants the best for you all,” he wrote.
Kangwa won the Israeli Ligat ha’Al title with Hapoel Be’er Sheva and the best player of the season award for the first time.
He scored and provided an assist in his side’s 4-2 win over Maccabi Tel Aviv, a result that sealed the championship for Beer Sheva.
The Zambian international ended the season with 12 goals and 10 assists in 39 appearances across all competitions, a campaign that earned him the club’s Player of the Season award.
