Zambia’s Edward Chilufya and his FC Midtjylland teammates have advanced to the third round of the UEFA Europa League following a 2-1 victory over Scottish side Hibernian on Thursday night.

Chilufya was introduced in the final 15 minutes of extra time and played a part in the decisive moment, as Junior Brumado scored in the 119th minute to secure a 3-2 aggregate win.

Midtjylland will now face Norwegian outfit Fredrikstad in the next round, with a place in the playoff stage at stake.

In contrast, Kings Kangwa and Joseph Sabobo Banda’s Hapoel Beer Sheva have been knocked out of the UEFA Europa Conference League after a 1-0 aggregate loss to AEK Athens in the second qualifying round.

The second leg ended in a goalless draw on Thursday evening. Kangwa played the full match, while Sabobo remained on the bench.
