Francis Mwansa, the goalkeeper for the Chipolopolo boys, is confident he would be included in the final team competing at the African Nations Championship next month.
Mwansa is among the team members presently practicing for the forthcoming competition, which Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania will co-host.
He recently joined Zanaco from Green Buffaloes ahead of the new season.
Mwansa faces tough competition from Willard Mwanza of Power Dynamos, Levison Banda of Zesco United, and Charles Kalumba of Red Arrows.

Speaking to Bolanews in an exclusive interview, Mwansa is optimistic of making of selection.
“Am sure am going to make it from the way am seeing things and the way am performing, I think am going to make it to the Final list. The fans should just support us and believe in us that we can do it otherwise the guys are on their peak they are looking good, everyone is pushing we are going there to work and make our nation proud,“said Mwansa.
“The competition in camp is very high I personally have to pull up my socks because it won’t be easy, but I will push,“added Mwansa.
Meanwhile, the Chipolopolo boys will face the DR Congo in the opening fixture, before meeting Angola three days later.
The tournament will run from August 2nd to 30th, 2025 and Zambia will be targeting to win their first CHAN trophy.
