Al Masry head coach Nabil Kouki has said the 2-1 victory over Kaizer Chiefs has motivated his squad to push for maximum points in their upcoming matches as they prepare to face Zesco United.

The Egyptian side opened their CAF Confederation Cup group stage campaign with a 2-1 win against Kaizer Chiefs, while Zesco United started on the back foot after suffering a 1-0 defeat to Zamalek.

Zesco United will host Al Masry in the 2025–26 TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup group stage on Friday at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.

Al Masry currently leads the group with three points, with Zamalek in second place on goal difference.

According to Yallakora, Kouki said, “We aimed to secure a victory [against Kaizer Chiefs], and we will immediately begin preparing the players for the Zesco match.”

“We aim to collect maximum points in our home matches during the group stage to ensure we remain in the race for the top spot and qualify for the next round,” he concluded.

Al-Masry is in Group D of the CAF Confederation Cup, alongside domestic rivals Zamalek, Kaizer Chiefs, and Zambian giants ZESCO United.

The Egyptian side arrived in Ndola today ahead of their encounter with Zesco United.
