Vipers SC coach Ivan Minnaert has taken a dig at Power Dynamos coach Oswald Mutapa, claiming his counterpart has been having sleepless nights ahead of their Champions League clash at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.
Power may be carrying a 2 – 1 aggregate result from the first leg but says the home side is under pressure, fearing Vipers’ sting.
“It’s him [who is under pressure] because he has to stop us. We are here to do the job and come together as Vipers SC. we have a mission, and the mission will be completed. I hope he will not sleep tonight,” Minnaert said.
However, Mutapa appeared calm, stating he has been relaxing and is looking forward to the game.
“I have been sleeping, even when you called me [for the press briefing], I was sleeping,” Mutapa said when he was asked if his team was under pressure.
Power are smelling a group stage berth and could qualify even if they lose.
“We have so many options to qualify, we draw, we win by a goal, we can even lose and go through, there are so many options but when you are preparing for something you dont go negative,” he said.
