The winner will play Tanzanian powerhouse Simba in the second round, which begins between August 18 and August 20, with the second leg matches scheduled for a week later.

The fact that Power Dynamos will play the second leg match at home should offer them a minor advantage as they look to repeat their 1990 CAF competition winning feat.

In the meantime, F.C. MUZA, who qualified for the competition for the first time in their history, will face Cano Sports of Equatorial Guinea in the preliminary round of the CAF Confederations Cup.

Will the Simba-Power Dynamos friendly match go on?

The Mazabuka-based team will travel to Equatorial Guinea for the first game before hosting their opponents at Lusaka’s Heroes stadium for the second match.

Prior to the draws, Simba FC stated that they would play Power Dynamos in an international friendly on August 6 in Tanzania to commemorate Simba Day. It is presently unknown whether the friendly will actually take place as scheduled.
