Eight teams have secured their places in the quarter-finals of the 2025/26 TotalEnergies CAF Champions League following the conclusion of the group stage on Sunday.
Defending champions Pyramids FC underlined their credentials with an emphatic 3-1 victory over Zambia’s Power Dynamos to finish top of Group A with 16 points. Morocco’s RS Berkane joined them in the knockout stage after thrashing Rivers United 3-0 to claim second spot.
In Group B, Egyptian giants Al Ahly progressed as winners with ten points, while Morocco’s FAR Rabat secured the runners-up slot to advance.

Group C saw Sudan’s Al Hilal Omdurman clinch top position with 11 points. South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns sealed qualification in second place after eliminating MC Alger. Colombian forward Brian Leon Muniz scored twice in a 2-0 win in Pretoria to ensure Sundowns’ progression.
“Let’s enjoy the pleasure of this victory and enjoy that we are among the best on the continent again,” Sundowns coach Miguel Cardoso said, while cautioning against complacency.
Group D produced a historic milestone as Stade Malien reached the knockout stage for the first time, finishing top with 11 points despite a 1-0 defeat to Simba SC. Esperance of Tunisia secured second place.
The draw for the quarter-finals will be conducted on Tuesday in Cairo.
