The Football Association of Malawi (FAM) has changed the Flames kit. Nonetheless, a variety of soccer supporters are calling for a revision of the kit.

This comes after FAM and Admiral signed a two-year kit sponsorship agreement valued at K400 million.

The deal’s proceeds, according to FAM President Fleetwood Haiya, will be used to make up for any government funding gaps for national teams.

Supporters are complaining that the new uniform is of lower quality than the old one, just after FAM shared images of it.

Football commentator Kimu Kamau has asked FAM to redesign the kit before storming the market.

“If FAM does not have any more plans, then they should just maintain the old kit, but seriously I will not spend my money on this jersey.

“It is not attractive, the quality is poor. This is a club kit and not for a national team,” he said.

The new kit will go on sale in May, and Malawi will don it when they play Namibia in the World Cup qualification match in Lilongwe on Thursday.
