FCB Nyasa Big Bullets, the league’s defending champions, defeated Karonga United convincingly 2-0 at Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre to reclaim first place in the standings.
The Blantyre-based giant scored in both halves through Hassan Kajoke when he connected well with attacking Patrick Mwaungulu and Striker Lanjesi Nkhoma, who was assisted by captain Precious Sambani.

With 29 points, Bullets are in first place, tied with second-placed Chitipa United in points, but Bullets have played 14 fewer games than Chitipa (15).
League standings could change if third-placed, Silver Strikers collect maximum points away at Civil Service United, which has 28 points from 13 matches played so far.
Speaking after the match, Bullets head coach Kallisto Pasuwa believes the victory is a motivation to his side.
“The last three games we couldn’t keep the ball, but today we saw an improvement. It is a learning phase for my boys and we will keep pressing,” he said.

Karonga’s assistant coach Luke Bruno Milanzie said it was not their day and congratulated the Bullets for the win.
“We did not create chances, the instructions we gave our players were contrary to what was happening on the ground,” he said.
Wanderers drop points to move into fourth
Mighty Mukuru Wanderers dropped points away to Kamuzu Barracks. Wanderers failed to utilize five scoring opportunities and they were punished in the 73 minutes when Olson Kanjira struck to give the home team maximum points.
The result disappointed Wanderers head coach Mark Harrison. “We have all chances of collecting maximum points here, but we gave it away, it is disappointing,” he said.
