Malawian midfielder Peter Banda has taken Tanzanian club Singida Black Stars to Fifa for breach of contract.

The former Simba SC player alleges that Singida, which he joined in December last year after his four-month contract with FCB Nyasa Big Bullets expired, has not paid him since the day he signed.

Banda signed his contract on January 15, 2024, and agreed to get $80,000 in signing fees, but only received $10,000.

After receiving $10,000, Banda left Malawi for Tanzania, but Singida officials did not return his calls or texts.

Banda returned to Malawi weeks later and he has been in the country since as he is trying to get hold of Singida.

Banda has been exercising with Bullets since January in order to stay in shape while awaiting his court hearing.

The Malawian midfielder further claims that since signing the contract, the club has not paid him his wage.

David Kanyenda, one of Banda’s lawyers, acknowledged that they have reported the incident to FIFA.
