Power Dynamos may have dropped points in their goalless draw against Kansanshi Dynamos, but their lead at the top remains 15 points after Red Arrows were also held to a scoreless draw by Zanaco.

The result moves Power to 71 points, while Arrows now sit on 56 points.

Leading scorer Moses Shumah returned to the Power starting lineup after missing two matches but could not find the back of the net.

Kansanshi assistant coach Denis Makinka hailed his team for denying Power a victory and edging closer to safety.

“It was a difficult game with a high tempo from beginning to end. My boys accounted for themselves well,” said Makinka.

“We had chances, especially from set-pieces, but we could not benefit from them. We didn’t create much; it was a tactical game.”

Makinka also described Power as a strong side.

“They are a very good team, but we planned for them. We will take a point, it’s not a bad result for us.

“We will build from this in our next game. There is good team spirit now, and we will keep fighting until the last game,” he said.
