Nkana’s unbeaten run has ended following a 0-2 defeat at Konkola Blades in a Week-five fixture of the 2026 transitional league at Konkola stadium on Sunday.
The away defeat comes after three consecutive victories, leaving Kalampa in Stream A with nine points, one behind leaders FC MUZA on ten points..
Sharp Razor took command of the tight contested match in the 35th minute through Emmanuel Kunda.
As the 13-times Zambian champions, were pushing for an equalizer, Idris Mbombo, a former Nkana striker extended the lead for Blades in the 48th minute.
Reacting to the defeat, Nkana FC head coach Elijah Tana was disappointment with how his side conceded the two goals.
“Those were silly goals. I am not happy with the way we approached the game,” he said.
However, Tana insisted that the defeat would not affect the team’s mentality heading into the derby against Power Dynamos this coming weekend.
He urged his players to remain focused on the challenge ahead.

“It can’t make us feel bad. We will go back and encourage our young boys to perform well at Levy Mwanawasa,” Tana said.
Meanwhile, Tana defended his lads against suggestions that the team underrated Konkola Blades.
“I can’t say there was any complacency in my team. It was just a (bad) day. We didn’t have luck,” he said.
