Zambia Women’s National team captain Barbra Banda will miss the Copper Queens’ international friendly match against Colombia on the 12th and 15 of November 2022.
The Football Association of Zambia says the striker “is unavailable for the November FIFA Window following Covid-19 restrictions in China that demand prolonged quarantine.”
Barbara returned to her club Shanghai Shengli and she is observing the Covid-19 rules in that country where she scored a brace for her side that came from behind to Guangdong Meizhou 2-1 win in the CFA Women’s Super League.
She has since been left out of the 32-member provisional squad for the two international friendly matches set to be played in Cali.

Meanwhile, the squad includes CFF Zaragoza forward Rachael Nachula and Madrid CFF duo of Rachael Kundananji and Grace Chanda.
Turkey based wingback, Margaret Belemu, midfielder Misozi Zulu and goalkeeper Hazel Nali have also made a cut in coach Bruce Mwape’s squad.
The 2022 Cosafa champions who are preparing for the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup where they have been drawn in Group C alongside Costa Rica, Spain and Japan will be “entering residential camp this weekend after players feature for their respective clubs in the Zambian league,” according to a statement by FAZ.
