The Chipolopolo Boys are out of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations after falling 3-0 to hosts Morocco on Monday.
A Brahimi Diaz goal sandwiched between Ayoub El Kaabi’s header and bicycle kick goals sealed the maximum points for the Atlas Lions at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.
BolaNews presents the player ratings of the Copper Bullets in their defeat to Morocco as they finished bottom of Group A.
GOALKEEPER:
Willard Mwanza (6/10): Though he conceded three, but he made some important saves, including one to deny 2025 CAF Player of the Year, Achraf Hakimi.
DEFENDERS:
Matthews Banda (4/10): He was left for dead on the first two goals of the game.
Kabaso Chongo (3/10): A tough day at the office for Chongo, who was a passenger in defense.
Dominic Chanda (3/10): Chanda’s outing in Rabat was full of individual errors.

David Hamansenya (6/10): Brahimi Diaz gave the teenager a run for his money early on, but the youngster grew in the game, becoming impenetrable and enterprising late on.
MIDFIELDERS:
Benson Sakala (5/10): He made a couple of good long passes playing as a holding midfielder and steadied the ship at the back after switching to center back.
Miguel Chaiwa (5/10): Chaiwa worked his socks off against the Atlas Lions, chasing after the ball the entire match.
Kings didn’t influence the match.
Joseph Liteta (4/10): He made late tackles after failing to cope with the pace of the game.
Lubambo Musonda (4/10): He pressed a lot early on but should have dropped more to assist Banda defensively on the right flank.

Kings Kangwa (4/10): Kangwa didn’t really influence the game as much as he did in his previous outing against Morocco. He only became more involved in the match after switching from the wing to a more central role.
FORWARD:
Patson Daka (4/10): He ran after the ball a lot early on. Daka should have at least hit the target in the beginning of the second half.
SUBSTITUTES:
Lameck Banda (6/10): Banda was quite proactive after coming on, creating a big chance for Patson Daka.
Eliya Mandanji (4/10): He didn’t get a lot of significant touches on the ball.
Joseph Sabobo Banda (6/10): Like Lameck, Sabobo also brought some life into Zambia.
Wilson Chisala and Given Kalusa (N/A): Zambia’s best attacking moments of the match came after their introduction.
COACH:
Moses Sichone (4/10): Nothing really worked out for him against Morocco. The gaffer got his tactics, formation, and personnel wrong.
