Power Dynamos and Mufulira Wanderers joined Chirundu United and Red Arrows in the semifinals of the 2026 ABSA Cup on Sunday at Nkoloma Stadium in Lusaka.
Mufulira Wanderers defeated FC MUZA 5-4 on post-match penalties to advance to the last four after a 0-0 draw, while Power Dynamos handed Nchanga Rangers a 2-0 defeat, with in-form striker Moses Shumah and Dominic Chanda scoring the goals for the league leaders.
Following confirmation of the qualified teams, Power Dynamos will face Mufulira Wanderers, while Chirundu United and Red Arrows will also face off in the second semifinal for a place in the final.

Speaking after the game, Mufulira Wanderers coach Lameck Banda is confident that his side can go all the way and win the title.
“I think chance is something that we need to prepare for very well,” Banda responded when asked if his team has a chance to win the ABSA Cup. “Chances are there to qualify for the finals.”
Wanderers have not won a trophy in the last 30 years, and when asked if it was time to end the drought, Banda said, “It’s posible.”

Meanwhile, Power Dynamos assistant coach Linos Makwaza said his team is on a mission to win both the league and the ABSA Cup, and they are moving closer to achieving that feat.
“We are moving closer. Like I said, the semi-final won’t be easy. We just have to put our feet down, no jackets, and continue working hard,” he told reporters.
Ahead of facing Mufulira Wanderers, Makwaza described them as legendary cup fighters.
“They are legendary cup fighters, always good in cup games, and I think the semifinal will be interesting.”
Mufulira Wanderers holds the record for the most trophies in Zambian football history, having won 49, and will be looking to add another this year.
The semifinals of the ABSA Cup will take place this weekend, with the venues yet to be announced.
