Kabwe Warriors head coach Albert Kachinga has warned his squad to show respect for their opponents, Makeni All Stars, in their 2025 ABSA Cup tie.
On Sunday afternoon, Warriors will play Makeni All Stars in their round of 16 match at Lusaka’s Nkoloma Stadium.

Warriors finished in the top four of the Super League to guarantee their ABSA Cup spot this year.
In a statement to the club’s media, Kachinga cautioned his side against underrating their opponents in prior to the game.
“We are playing Makeni, we have been playing them from time to time in training matches, so we know how they play, and they know how we play. There are no easy games, and the underrating should not be there. We need to be serious about it,” said Kachinga.

The former Prison Leopards gaffer said they will take each game as it comes and see how far they will go.
“We need to up our game and put them in their place. We will try to do something different probably by trying to go all the way and we will take each game as it comes. And We will not talk about the final now, we will first try and go one step further,” he added.
2025 ABSA Cup winners will walk away with K1 million, and the runner-up will pocket K400, 000.
