Zambia Women’s National Team striker Racheal Kundananji was the fastest player at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, reaching a speed of 33.2 km/h, faster than anyone else in the tournament.
She is followed by Kalyssa Van Zanten of Jamaica, Lynn Williams of the United States, Florencia Bonsegundo of Argentina, and Banyana Banyana’s Thembi Kgatlana, all of whom reached 33.0 km/h.
Kundananji and her Copper Queens side were eliminated from the competition in the group stage after consecutive 5-0 defeats to Japan and Spain. The Madrid-based striker, however, scored her first World Cup goal in Zambia’s 3-1 consolation win over Costa Rica.
She had an excellent season with her club Madrid CFF last season in Spain’s Liga F.
With 25 goals, the Copper Queens star finished the season as the second-highest scorer in the Spanish Women’s League. She trailed Spanish international Alba Redondo, who had 26 goals.

Kundananji helped Madrid CFF finish fifth in the league standings with 56 points after 30 games. It was the club’s highest finish ever.
She also scored a total of six goals across all competitions for Zambia in the previous season.
