Nathan Sinkala, the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations winning midfielder, has signed a short-term contract with Iiga Leumit club LC Kafr Qasim, with an option for an extension.
The former TP Mazembe midfielder believes his new move to Israel will help him regain form and play for his country.
“I hope to be able to play again for the National Team, and I will see to it that I work hard to make that happen,” said Sinkala.
Sinkala returned to Zambia last season after his contract ended at South African Dstv Premiership side Stellenbosch, where he scored five goals in 55 games.
Sinkala played for TP Mazembe before moving on to Sochaux in France and Grasshoppers Zurich in Switzerland on loan between 2014 and 2015.
The 31-year-old Zambian midfielder won the Caf Champions League in 2015, the CAF Cups in 2016 and 2017, and the DR Congo Vodacom league four times in 2012, 2013, and 2019.
Sinkala has been training with Zambian Super League side Green Buffaloes before moving to Israel.
