Highlights
  • Morocco and Croatia need only a point to qualify for the round of 16.
  • Canada were already eliminated from the competition and will play to fulfill the fixture.
  • Belgium need to win to avoid elimination.

CANADA VS MOROCCO

Morocco are coming from an impressive 2-0 victory over the World’s second-best-ranked country, Belgium in their previous game. The Atlas Lions have a higher chance of progressing to the knockout stage when they face already-eliminated Canada this afternoon.

A win or draw will see them progress to the last 16 regardless of the outcome of the other match between Croatia and Belgium.

The North Africans have accounted for themselves well so far, getting a point from Croatia and beating the tournament’s favorites in Belgium.

Achraf Hakim, Hakim Ziyech ,Walid Regragui and Zakaria Aboukhlala are expected to continue with their fine performance for the Atlas Lions as they aim at earning their qualification for the knockout stage for the first time since 1986.

On the other hand, Canada are already out of the tournament after suffering a 4-1 heavy defeat at the hands of Croatia in their last match but they will obviously be playing for pride and hope to get a positive result.

If Canada prevails, Morocco will need Belgium to beat Croatia in the other Group F match to qualify.

Alphonso Davies, Johnathan David, and Cyle Larin will lead the team as the Canadians seek to exit Qatar with their heads high.

The two sides have played 3 games between them and all the matches were international friendlies with Morocco winning two and the other match ending in a draw.

PREDICTION, BETTING TIPS, AND ODDS

Heading into this match knowing that a draw or win will seal their qualification for the round of 16 for the first time in over 30 years, Morocco will run riot and ensure they win this match. The Atlas Lions have also been a better side in this group and will definitely give Canada a tough run. GO FOR X2 @1.22 FOR A DRAW OR WIN FOR MOROCCO.

CROATIA VS BELGIUM

Tournament favorites Belgium face the prospect of elimination at the World Cup when they play their final Group match against Croatia.

Belgium are third in Group F with 3 points and they will be hoping to bounce back from a disappointing 2-0 defeat they suffered at the hands of Morocco in their previous game.

However, the Red Devils coach Robert Martinez is under intense pressure to ensure the team qualifies for the knockout stage which is only possible if they beat Croatia today.

The second-ranked team in the world will be banking on the galaxy of stars in their squad to rise to the occasion and deliver for the team.

Romelu Lukaku, Kevin De Bruyne, and Jan Vertonghen will be expected to play a key role if they are to escape elimination.

On the other hand, Croatia just needs a draw to qualify for the knockout stage having played out to a goalless draw with Morocco and beating Canada 4-1 in a match that saw them come from a 1-0 deficit.

Croatia who were the 2018 Russia World Cup finalists have remained unbeaten in their last eight matches across all competitions and they have a strong chance of capitalizing on the recent poor form of the Belgians.

Luka Modric, Mateo Kovacic, and Marcelo Brozovic are expected to lead the team.

Meanwhile, Belgium are unbeaten in their last three meetings with Croatia, and last year the Red Devils managed to beat the Vatreni 1-0 in a friendly match.

PREDICTION, BETTING TIP, AND ODDS

This will arguably be one of the matches that deserve the headline for a “final before a final” as both teams will die a little to keep their nations in the race for the World’s most prestigious trophy, knowing that a loss for either team would mean they are out of the Qatar World Cup. Despite Croatia having a slight advantage over the Belgians, this match could go either way. TRY DOUBLE CHANCE 12 @1.35 FOR A CROATIA OR BELGIUM WIN.
