The Argentine government has banned 6,000 fans from travelling to Qatar for the 2022 FIFA world Cup due to unruly behaviour as they look to protect their reputation as a country, reports newsbruit.com.
The Minister of Law and Security in Argentina has announced that all Argentinian fans, who cause problems in the country, will not be allowed to go to Qatar for the world Cup.
Around 6, 000 fans are banned from world cup stadia and they will not be allowed to travel to Qatar for the football showpiece which is set to kick off in 11 days.
Argentina is housed in Group C alongside Poland, Mexico and Saudi Arabia.
They will head to Qatar after a successful 2021 Copa America tournament where they were crowned Champions to end their 28- year wait to win a major international major trophy.
The team will be led by 35-year old Lionel Messi who will be hoping to win the World Cup especially having confirmed that this will be the last international tournament.
