A place in the final is up for grabs when France take on Spain in what will be a captivating encounter. France has been dubbed as the tournament favourite, but Spain, on the other hand, has shown the willingness of a team keen on going all the way.

Last five games (FORM)

Both sides have been terrific throughout the campaign and boast a record of 5 consecutive wins in their previous five games, with Spain drawing 0-0 with Cape Verde while France has a 100% win record in the current campaign.

Head-to-head record (last five games)

Spain has a strong record against France, and that should give them confidence going into this encounter, having won three of their last five games and lost twice.

Form

Spain has kept 6 clean sheets at the World Cup, and perhaps that is a firm reminder of just how solid their defence is. On the other hand, France has scored 16 goals during the course of the tournament, evidence of just how dangerous they are up front. France has won five out of five games, while Spain has won four of their last five games.

Players to watch

Kylian Mbappe (France): It’s evident that the French forward has been at the heart of everything good that has come out of their attack with 8 goals and 3 assists so far in the tournament. He has been a handful for the opposition’s defenders.

Mbappé is only one goal away from matching Lionel Messi’s all-time record of 21 at the FIFA World Cup.

Lamine Yamal (Spain): With only one goal to his name at the World Cup, Yamal hasn’t been at the peak of his powers, but he can still be the man to turn the encounter on its head. He’s undoubtedly an essential part of De La Fuente’s attack even when he doesn’t score goals. At his peak, the wing wizard can be a thorn in any defence.

Betting Tip: Go for goals. Over 2.5

Odds: 1.86

Note: Odds are subject to change. 18+
