Zimiseleni Moyo, a former Zesco United midfielder has backed defender Happy Nsiku to make a strong impression during his loan spell at the Ndola-based club.
Nsiku is among some young players sent out on loan by Red Arrows FC to strengthen its player development pathway.
The defender and winger Anthony Shipanuka have joined Zesco United, while Royd Katuta, Dickson Muyoba, Richard Daka, and Kakanda Sinyangwe have moved to Roan United.
Goalkeeper Christo Chitambala and striker Patrick Simwiinga have joined Kabwe Warriors.
Moyo, who said he began his coaching journey with Nsiku at Mc Galaxy Academy, believes the defender has the ability, discipline, and competitive mentality to succeed at Zesco United.
“It’s a big pleasure to see one of the boys, Happy Nsiku, whom I started my coaching journey with at Mc Galaxy Academy, joining ZESCO United,” Moyo said.
He added that Nsiku’s move from provincial Division Three football to joining then-champions Red Arrows demonstrated the defender’s potential.
“My biggest surprise was him joining the then-champions Red Arrows straight from Division Three provincial football” he said.
Moyo also expressed pride in the progress of players from the Mc Galaxy Academy, noting that several members of the group have now reached the top level of Zambian football.
“Proud of that group from Galaxy, now Premiership players. All the best, my boys,” he said.
