Following his return from injury, 2017 U-20 AfCON winning midfielder, Boyd Musonda has been impressive for Konkola Blades.

At the beginning of the 2025-26 Zambia Premier League season, Musonda, formerly of Zanaco FC trekked to Konkola Blades as a free agent.

Since settling, Musonda has been in fine form, helping Sharp Razor to register positive results in the League so far.

Musonda, has featured in nine games, his first being against defending champions, Power Dynamos at Arthur Davies Stadium in a Week 14 fixture.

Sharp Razor is seventh on the table with 30 points from 21 games.

The former U-20 defensive midfielder has one goal to his name via a penalty in a Week 21 fixture away to FC Leopards.

Speaking to BolaNews exclusively, Musonda believes the team still has a chance to finish in the top four brackets.

“I want to help Konkola Blades” – Musonda.

“The second round is very competitive; the gap is not too much. Any team can win this league; you just don’t have to drop points. It’s a tough second round; if you look at the league standings from the bottom to the top, there is not much difference. Once you sleep, you will remain behind. We want to finish in the top four and try to win the league; that’s our aim,” he said.

Musonda said he has settled well at Konkola Blades.

“I have settled in very well now. In the first round I got injured, so I couldn’t catch up with the fitness levels of my friends, so I struggled a bit. But now I am settled and having a good run. I just want to work hard so that I help my team maintain their place in the Premier League,” added Musonda.

Konkola have won seven games, drawn nine, and lost only six games in the campaign so far.
