Zambia’s U-17 Women’s National Team captain, Zangose Zulu, says the team has made amends and is prepared to face Uganda on Friday in the third round of the 2024 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers.
Zambia defeated Uganda 2-0 in the first leg at the National Heroes Stadium on Sunday, giving them an advantage going into Friday’s match at the Saint Mary’s Stadium in Kitende, Uganda where fans will enter for free.
The Copper Princesses hope to replicate the Class of 2014’s success and make their second appearance in the tournament.
Speaking during the pre-match press conference on Thursday morning, Zulu declared the team ready for the match.
“We are very much ready and we have already worked on our mistakes with my teammates and the morale is very high.
“We are very much prepared; the team is working together and cooperating very well so we are very much prepared,” emphasized Zulu.
The winner across both legs will face either Morocco or Algeria in the fourth and final round to fight for a place at the tournament to be held in the Dominican Republic.
