ZSL: Friday Samu joining Nkana

Former Green Buffaloes and Maritzburg United striker Friday Samu is joining Nkana FC on a permanent basis after his contract with the South African club expired.

The former Green Buffaloes striker last played in the Zambian Super League during the 2020-21 season, when he was the league’s top scorer with 14 goals, but only found the back of the net three times in 31 games for Maritzburg United.

Green Buffaloes, his former club, were thought to be the most likely destination, but the Kitwe-based club has now agreed to bring the striker back to Zambia.

After Donashano Malama, Shadreck Banda, and Kunda Mazinga, Samu has become the fourth player to join Nkana during this transfer window.
