Sipho Mumbi, the head coach of Napsa Stars Football Club, was disappointed by his team’s loss against Power Dynamos on Thursday, pointing out that they ought to have scored at least one goal.
With 38 points from 30 games, the Pensioners are now in ninth place following a 2-0 home loss to Power Dynamos.

Following the match, Mumbi expressed his belief that the team should have secured at least a draw against the league leaders.
“I think we didn’t play in the dangerous areas, mostly in the first half. We controlled the game, but we were playing in less dangerous areas, and Power Dynamos were comfortable with us playing in front of them.”
Mumbi noticed that the team lacked poise when it comes to scoring the few opportunities they were able to generate.
He added that in order to maximize points in the next four games, he will be focusing on the team’s efficiency.
“It’s Not Yet Over” Mumbi.
“We needed that cutting edge but didn’t come out until the second half. It’s going to worry us because, you know, when you get a chance, even half a chance, you have to bury it when you are playing it against a team like Power Dynamos,” he said.

“We just have to go back and try to rectify and improve on it, being composed in front of goal. We had several chances that we could have buried. Maybe one goal would have gotten us into the game. But, again, you miss one chance. It doesn’t come in. They score. They’re on top of the game.”
Meanwhile, Mumbi said that the league is not over adding that Power Dynamos need to grind a few more points to win.
“I don’t speak for others, but what I can say is I think this has taken them [Power Dynamos] somewhere. It’s a very good momentum for them. I think going forward, they just have to continue like this if they are to win the league. Otherwise, it’s not yet over.”
