Liverpool FC have signed Argentina’s Alexis Mac Allister from Brighton & Hove Albion on a long-term deal for an undisclosed fee, the club has announced.
Mac Allister’s move to Anfield comes after three-and-a-half successful seasons at Brighton following a January 2019 switch from Argentinos Juniors, where he immediately returned on loan for six months until a further temporary stint with Boca Juniors.
His Premier League debut came in March 2020 and he went on to make a total of 112 appearances for the south-coast club, 98 of which came in the Premier League. Indeed, he faced Liverpool as an opponent on six occasions.
In addition, Mac Allister netted 20 times overall for Brighton and claimed nine assists.
