Nkana resigns rusty Idriss Mbombo after two failed stints away from the club

Congolese striker Idris Mbombo has returned to Nkana for the second time after an unsuccessful stint at Tanzania’s Azam FC.

Mbombo left Nkana in 2018 to join Sudanese side Al Hilal Omdurman FC, but a season later he terminated his contract and returned to the Kiwe side.

He left Nkana again two years ago and joined Tanzania’s Azam FC, where he was until his return to Nkana.

Mbombo has signed a two-year deal with Nkana as a free agent after parting ways with Azam.

The 13-time Zambian champions have also signed midfielder Laurent Muma, goalkeeper Moonga Ndala, and winger Austin Banda in their quest to survive relagation this season.
