Albert Kangwanda says he is ready to embrace a new challenge after completing his move to Tanzanian champions Young Africans (Yanga SC).

Kangwanda shared his excitement on social media after his unveiling by the Dar es Salaam-based club.

“Ready to learn, grow, and win as one team. We are together for a great season,” he wrote on Facebook.

The 27-year-old joins Yanga on a two-year contract with an option for a further year’s extension after a decent 2025/26 campaign with Red Arrows, where he was named the MTN Super League Player of the Season.

Kangwanda scored 17 goals and registered nine assists in all competitions as the Airmen finished runners-up in the league and lifted the ABSA Cup, performances that attracted interest from the Tanzanian giants.

His move sees him join one of East Africa’s most successful clubs, with Yanga set to compete for the Tanzanian Premier League title and the CAF Champions League during the 2026/27 season.

Kangwanda’s transfer marks the latest step in a career that has also included spells with Croatian side HNK Gorica and Sudanese giants Al Hilal Omdurman before returning to Red Arrows, where he rediscovered his best form.
