Mathews Ndhlovu, the head coach of Forest Rangers Football Club, is aiming for a victory against Red Arrows in their upcoming Week 33 match at Dola Hill Stadium in Ndola.
Fole Malembe, positioned 16th with 35 points, will host the Airmen, who are in sixth place with 50 points.
The Ndola side is fighting to remain in the top-flight league with only six points available, as their last campaign in the National Division was in the 2014 season.
In an interview, Ndhlovu mentioned that although Red Arrows are a strong team, his team’s main objective is to secure points at home.
“We are ready for the game, though we are passing through a tough patch, but we want to come out victorious because we have got a task at hand, especially when we’ll be playing at home,” Ndhlovu said.
“I think we are up to the task because we need to survive relegation as a paramount factor of our objective. We’ve got respect for Red Arrows, but I think in the battlefield you need to fight for what you want.
“We Need Three Points” – Ndhlovu.
“We are taking this game very seriously because we need the three points for us to stabilise our status on the league table. And looking at how we have been preparing during the week, each and every player is showing that anxiety and hunger to play.”
Instead of focusing on the performance of the other teams fighting for survival, Ndhlovu said he wants to concentrate on earning all the points.
“That’s why these remaining two games are very key to us. We are not looking at these other teams and how they perform. We want to prove to ourselves that we are the ones who can bring the team out of relegation by making sure that we fight for our own, by making sure that each game is taken seriously and we collect maximum points.”
