In a Week 11 match at President’s stadium on Saturday, FC Leopards defeated NAPSA Stars 2-0 to record their first league victory of the season.
The win lifted FC Leopards from the relegation zone to sit 13th on the log with nine points.
Maxillian Elimba broke the deadlock in the 45th minute to put the home side in the lead. Landu Miete sealed the victory after converting from a spot kick in the 86th minute.
FC Leopards assistant coach Donewell Yobe in a post match interview said the victory is motivation for the team.
“I think kudos and congratulations to the boys for executing the game plan exactly like we planned it; it’s been a long time coming. All the kudos to the boys for a splendid performance,” he said.

“This is the starting point of many victories to come. Of course, we can’t guarantee that all the games will be easy, but at least the confidence will be bubbling in the boys, which is very good because it’s been a long time coming. We started the league on a slow note, but now the boys are slowly catching up,” noted the coach
FC Leopards will now shift attention to their next as they will face Zesco United, winless in four league matches.
