Debutant Trident FC signs two players ahead of new season

The newest derby between the two clubs in Zambia's northwest will take place next weekend when Trident football Club faces off against Kansanshi Dynamos.

Innocent Kashita and Lassa Kiala have been signed by Super League club Trident Football Club from Police College and Zanaco, respectively.

Innocent Kashita transfers from Police College football Club to Trident on a two-year loan.

The 24-year-old attacking midfielder, who played 17 times last season for the demoted Chambishi football Club, was a wonder to witness, contributing 11 assists and scoring 6 goals.

In the meantime, Lassa Kiala signs a one-year contract to join the Conquerors from Zanaco of Lusaka.

After his contract with the bankers expired, the former Lusaka Dynamos midfielder signed with the Northwestern teams.

Kiala, former Lusaka Dynamos FC and Kitwe United FC player joins the conquerors after the expiration of his contract at Zanaco FC.

However, the 25-year-old defensive midfielder’s experience will be instrumental in helping the newly promoted side seal a spot in the Super league after having impressed with the banker’s last season.

The conquerors have been active during preseason with a few friendly against Nkana Football Club, the 13-time league champions. To prepare for the new season, the two teams played two friendly games, winning each one.

The Carling Black Label Charity Shield match between Power Dynamos and Forest Rangers at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola on August 12 will serve as the first game of the 2023–24 season.

The newest derby between the two clubs in Zambia’s northwest will take place next weekend when Trident football Club faces off against Kansanshi Dynamos.
