Despite, making technical changes, NAPSA Stars remain stuck in the relegation zone with 24 points from 24 games.
On Thursday, NAPSA Stars suffered a 1-0 defeat to visiting Nchanga Rangers in a week 23 fixture played at REIZ Arena.
Davy Zulu’s 36th-minute goal made the difference for the visitors as they continue with their fine form.
The Pensioners, who played out to a 1-1 stalemate against Green Buffaloes last week on Sunday, were hoping to redeem themselves in front of their home fans.
The brave Nchanga Rangers have continued to dominate and are slowly becoming favorites to finish in the top two of the league standings at the end of the season.
Nchanga Rangers have 43 points, three points behind second-placed Red Arrows and eight points behind leaders Power Dynamos.
Pressure is there – Saileti.
Reacting to the result, Napsa Stars first assistant coach Zeddy Saileti expressed disappointment with the result.
“Very disappointing. I think our plan was we wanted to get maximum points; even a point was going to be a plus looking at the table. We started very well; the game was 50/50, and I think our game plan after that red card—I think we made a lot of changes, and I think it’s where we lost it. They scored in 35 minutes,” he said.

Meanwhile, Napsa Stars will shift attention to their next match as they make a trip to Ndola to face Zesco United.
“Of course pressure is there because, like I said, even a point was going to be a plus, but if you look at today’s game, we needed three points to move out from the relegation; I think we were going to be two or three steps ahead. We just need to replan and look forward to our next game,” added Saileti.
