Power Dynamos have won the 2025/26 MTN Super League title following a 2-1 victory over Konkola Blades at Konkola Stadium in Chililabombwe on Saturday afternoon.
The triumph was confirmed after the closest rivals, Red Arrows, lost 1-0 to Mutondo Stars, meaning they could no longer catch the Kitwe side even if they won all their remaining matches.
With four games still to play, Power sit top of the table with 70 points, 15 clear of Arrows.
The title win marks Power’s ninth league crown and their third in the last four seasons. It is also the first time the club has successfully defended the league title.
Speaking after the match, coach Oswald Mutapa, who has now won his second trophy at the club, said: “We are happy that we are able to finish the league here with four games remaining. It gives us time to concentrate on the ABSA Cup final.”
He also reflected on the competitiveness of the season, stating: “It has been tough, but I think the rotation in terms of seeing which players have a lot of mileage in the play has really helped. I know fans wouldn’t be happy with us changing players, but this is what has made us win.”
