Football administrator Mwansa Kapyanga, has landed his biggest and arguably toughest job in Zambian football.
On Thursday, Nkana, who are struggling for results on and off the pitch at the moment, announced Kapyanga as their Chief Executive Officer.
In a statement, club president Justin Bwalya said the club “is pleased to announce the appointment of Mwansa Kapyanga as the new Club Chief Executive Officer for a two-year term.”
With a rich history, passionate fans, and high expectations, Kapyanga now faces the challenge of steering Nkana to success on and off the pitch.
Nkana is second from bottom with 10 points, their worst seasons at the moment.

“As CEO, Kapyanga will focus on strategic alignment, enhancing corporate governance, and fostering stakeholder relations to drive Nkana FC toward sustainable success. His appointment represents a renewed commitment to achieving excellence both on and off the pitch,” Bwalya said.
Kapyanga will have to dig deep into his 12 years of “progressive experience in football governance, operations, and team management, making him an ideal fit for this pivotal role at Nkana.”
