Former Chipolopolo goalkeeper Michael Poto has been appointed as the interim Chipolopolo goalkeeper trainer for Zambia’s engagement at the Four Nations Tournament in Francistown, Botswana.
It will be a busy international break for Chipolopolo as two teams will be actively taking part, one is scheduled to play Argentina, while a much younger squad will face off against Malawi in the four-nations tournament.
Poto, who is Nkana’s goalkeeper trainer, has since been roped in to the Osward Mutapa-led bench that will make a short trip to Botswana for the four-nation tournament.
His club confirmed in a post on their Facebook page
“Nkana FC goalkeeper coach Michael Poto has been appointed interim goalkeeper coach of the Zambia Senior Men’s National Team for the upcoming Four Nations Tournament in Botswana.
“The appointment, confirmed by the Football Association of Zambia, will see Poto join the Chipolopolo technical bench for the duration of the tournament, while retaining his role at Nkana FC,” the club stated.
Others added to the technical bench for the Botswana tournament include Zanaco’s Numba Mumamba and George Chilufya of Kabwe Warriors, who have been appointed as assistants to Oswald Mutapa.
