FC Muza midfielder Given Kalusa says he will use the international break to reorganize himself and bounce back stronger as he aims to help his team secure a top-four finish in the Super League.

Speaking to BolaNews exclusively, Kalusa said he is determined to become a dependable and consistent performer for both club and country.

“I want to be consistent. In Zambia we don’t have players who are consistent in displaying good football, back-to-back call-ups to the national team. So I want to work extra hard so that I remain consistent in the games I play,” he said.

The midfielder is part of the 23-member squad summoned by coach George Lwandamina for next Tuesday’s friendly match against Argentina.

Kalusa has impressed for FC Muza this season, registering 10 goal contributions, with four goals and six assists in 24 matches for the Mazabuka-based side, and he said he hopes to help his club finish in the top four.

“I think we started so well as a club at the beginning of the season, but there was that moment when we didn’t do well, we didn’t perform well, and we didn’t get the desired results. I think that’s part of football. Going forward, we need to do well so that we finish the league in the top four brackets.”

Kalusa made his senior national team debut against South Africa in an international friendly match that Zambia lost 3-1 in December last year. He was also part of the squad that competed at the 2026 Africa Cup of Nations tournament, where the team suffered an early elimination.
