“We need to be clinical at goal,” were Nkana coach Mwenya Chipepo’s thoughts following his side’s scoreless draw against Mutondo Stars at Nkana Stadium in Kitwe.
Nkana recorded their fourth draw of the season, second in consecutive matches, much to the disappointment of home fans.
“We just need to score,” he said in an interview after the match. “You know the backline is doing its best so we just need to convert the chances that we create.”
Nkana started the game well but were met by a resilient Mutondo side.
Mutondo coach Ronald Mukosha said his team planned well for Nkana.
“Its a good point. We could have gotten more from the game but being a derby, it is a tough one so we were not expecting an easy match,”
The result leaves Nkana in the relegation zone with five points, three behind 10th-placed Mutondo.
