Titus Chansa believes he has what it takes to compete for the top scorers award at the end of the 2024/25 MTN Super League season, after a promising start.

As of Week 7 of the current league season, the Mutondo Stars striker is tied with Nchanga Rangers’ Maxwell Mulutula for the most goals scored (5).

The Evergreen are currently in third place with 12 points, four behind log leader ZESCO United.

Chansa currently accounts for five of Mutondo Stars’ nine goals.

In an interview with BolaNews, he stated that he plans to score 20 goals this season, but he first wants to surpass his 8-goal total from last season and help the team qualify for the Absa Cup.

“My targets for this season are to help the team compete in the ABSA and become the top scorer of the Zambian Super League with more than 20 goals,” he stated.

Chansa was also selected to play in the Zambia All Stars vs. The Rest match that was held in August., having previously represented the Copperbelt Select squad.

He claims that the experience has sparked an interest in him competing for a spot on the senior Chipolopolo squad.

“Actually, I have dreamt of playing for Mother Zambia; all I am waiting for is to be given an opportunity to play for my country. It will be an honour to be part of the senior team, and that is one of my aims for this season,” said Chansa.

Mutondo Stars’ next game will be against Forest Rangers at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola. Chansa will be hoping to get back on the scoresheet.
