On Saturday, Green Eagles will host Roan United at Independence Stadium in Choma in a Stream B Week Four encounter, hoping to maintain their perfect start after collecting maximum points against Mufulira Wanderers and Zesco United.
And Perry Mutapa, Green Eagles Football Club head coach has cautioned his players against underrating Roan United as the Choma-based side targets a third consecutive victory in the MTN Super League Transitional League.
Both teams head into the fixture unbeaten, with Roan United having beaten Nkwazi FC before a nil-all draw at Green Buffaloes last Saturday.
Speaking ahead of the match, Mutapa said his side had prepared well but acknowledged that playing at home would present a different challenge after securing back-to-back away victories.
“Yes, good away wins. But this is a different ball game at home, and we want to do good for our supporters, more especially since we collected maximum points away from home,” he said.
Mutapa said the priority remained collecting all three points, adding that the team would not make significant changes despite returning to its home ground.
“The most important thing, obviously, is to get the maximum points. In terms of changing, I think we are not going to change much. But, of course, we are at home, and we would like to give the victory to our supporters,” he said.
“The boys are ready”- Mutapa.
The coach also confirmed that Green Eagles had no injury concerns heading into the encounter and urged his players to give their all against the newly promoted side.
“No injury concerns. The boys have prepared very well. I think we just need to apply ourselves more than 100 percent in tomorrow’s (Saturday) encounter and get the maximum points,” Mutapa said.

However, he warned that Roan United should not be judged on their recent results.
“Roan United, back in the Premier League, they won away at Nkwazi. They drew against GBFC,” he said.
“Whatever has happened in the last two games doesn’t count for anything in tomorrow’s (Saturday) encounter“
Mutapa said concentration and focus would be crucial if Green Eagles were to extend their winning run and maintain their strong start to the campaign.
